Maumelle was named “A Community of Ideas” by the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (www.n4a.org) for its proactive creation of a “Senior Services department to address seniors’ transportation, educational, social, and recreational needs in a compassionate and efficient manner.” Maumelle is one of only 10 cities in the United States to have received this distinction.

Golf: The course layout of both courses display unusual landscaping, wildlife and vistas of the area. Two 18 hole golf courses intermingle within the city of Maumelle, one on each side of Highway 100-Maumelle Boulevard.

Maumelle Country Club is an 18 hole semi private course with a driving range and putting green area. The facilities include a club house where you can have meetings, weddings, etc., pro shop, pool and tennis courts. Visit www.maumellecc.com for more information.

Country Club of Arkansas is located on the west side of the Boulevard and is a public course but memberships are available. Facilities include a large open driving range, pro shop, and open veranda to enjoy views of the course with food and drinks available from the snack bar. www.countryclubarkansas.com

This facility offers the residents of Maumelle the opportunity of becoming a member or paying a daily fee. The facility has a health club with cardio and weight equipment, walking track (12 laps equal one mile), locker rooms with showers, and 2 basketball courts which can also be used for volleyball. Rooms are available for rental for events and special occasions. Handicap accessible.

This complex is home to the Maumelle Sports Association and Maumelle Adult Softball. The Diamond Center has six fields (3 Cal Ripkin, 3 softball, 1 Babe Ruth/Legion). There is a concession stand on the premises. Rentals may be for a one-time use or on a regular basis. All fees are non-refundable after a reservation has been made. Park Hours: Gates are locked each night and open only for scheduled practices and games.

This complex is home to the Maumelle Soccer Club. This facility has 5 micro fields, 2 under-eight fields, 2 under-10 fields, 1 under-12 field, and 1 under-16 field.

This facility has a diving board, 2 slides, water sports, zero depth entry with a covered playing area, mushrooms, fountains, and a floating turtle in the shallow area. There are 2 covered lounge areas with chairs. There is a concession stand with a covered picnic area. No outside food or drink is allowed in the gated area.

City Parks

Maumelle is fortunate to have many park areas which include neighborhood playgrounds, basketball courts, pavilions and over 19 miles of paved trails throughout the city. Picnic tables and fishing are available at Lake Willastein and The Park on the River.
