Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Recipients

Maumelle, AR -  For the first time the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce was able to award two (2) $500.00 scholarships to graduating seniors.  These scholarships were available to ANY Maumelle resident that will graduating high school in 2016.  This scholarship was established by Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce Educational Committee.   This committee worked closely with Maumelle Schools to provide a program where students and business leaders can work towards the future.  The scholarship criteria is based on the applicant's scholastic achievement, leadership in school activities, demonstrated superior service to the community, and reputation for moral character.  In addition  Students must also have a minimum 2.5 cumulative high school GPA.  complete a application questionnaire and submit a 300-500 word typed essay.  The recipients of the 2016 Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship are Alec Bishop and Caroline Sweet read more

Maumelle, AR - Each year the Maumelle Chamber of Commerce celebrates our outstanding Chamber members during our Annual Banquet.  This year the banquet will be held on Thursday, April 14th at the Maumelle Country Club.  Cocktail hour will begin at 6:00pm and includes the acoustic entertainment of local musician Richie Johnson.  The program and dinner will begin at 7:00pm in the Ballroom. Reserved seating is encourage, tickets are $35 in advance.  Following the Banquet, continue networking in the Mixed Grill while enjoying live music.    read more

Maumelle, AR - The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce is honored to announce that we will be awarding two (2) $500.00 scholarships to graduating seniors. Maumelle, AR - On Thursday, March 24th the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting our bi-monthly Business Brief Luncheon at The Maumelle Country Club located at 100 Club Manor Drive in  Maumelle.  The meet and greet will begin at 11:30am and will give attendees the opportunity to network and make real business connections.  The catered lunch and formal program will begin at 12:00pm.  Cost is $18 and includes the guest speaker and a lunch Catered by The Maumelle Country Club. read more

Town Hall Meeting

Maumelle, AR - The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce along with the City of Maumelle will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Jess Odom Community Center South Room located at 1100 Edgewood Drive in Maumelle.  The purpose of the meeting will be to hear a presentation given by Rock Region Metro regarding an important Ballot issue that will effect Maumelle and Central Arkansas.  Move Central Arkansas is a new public transportation service plan for Rock Region METRO.  The project goal was to develop a vision for Rock Region METRO that addresses service improvements and support central Arkansas’ economic development and efforts to provide a dynamic, desirable place to live, work and play. MOVE Central Arkansas focuses on three key areas: service expansion and improvements, comprehensive and consistent branding and exploring funding opportunities to support the former.  read more

Maumelle, AR - The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 25 years in business.  Established in 1991,  the Chamber has grown to over 400 Members that reach from the City of Maumelle to as far away as Lula, Mississippi.  The Chamber is a non-profit, volunteer membership, action-oriented business organization that serves as the voice for our community.  The goal is to enhance the business climate by providing resources for advocacy, education and growth in our city.  Our efforts keep local business leaders and residents involved in every aspect of  life in Maumelle. Run Like You've Been Stung Maumelle 5K

Maumelle, AR - On Saturday, November 14th the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the inaugural Run Like You've Been Stung Maumelle 5K at Maumelle High School.  Created by students in the National Junior Honor Society at Maumelle Middle School and facilitated through the Maumelle Chamber  Educational Committee, this 5K  is more than just a race. 

Groups of business leaders have taken this opportunity to  mentor to these young trailblazers on the importance of marketing, sales, business and teamwork to create this great race.  Working side by side with students this fun run event is designed to promote community wellness and pride.   The 5k course begins and ends at the Maumelle High School Stadium and winds through the Industrial park of Maumelle .  Advance registration is $25 for runners, $15 for students, $25 for virtual Runners or $35 the day of the race.  Participants will have an opportunity to pick up Race Packets on Thursday, November 12th from 9:00am to 8:00pm at the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce office located at 115 Audubon Drive, Suite 14 in the Town Centre Shopping Center.  On the day of the race registration will begin at 6:00am at the Maumelle High School Stadium and the race will kick off at 8:00am.  After the race is over runners and race supporters will have a chance to enjoy a Spirited Tailgate Experience in front of the Maumelle High School Football Stadium.  Race Sponsors will be handing out free promotional items, food and drinks.

The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce Educational Committee had dedicated their time and efforts to help Maumelle Students by providing an opportunity for professional development, to share community connections and to establish partnership programs in Maumelle  The committee works closely with local schools to provide a program where students and business leaders can work towards the future.   In addition, the Maumelle Area  Chamber of Commerce Educational Committee oversees and creates events to fund the Maumelle Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program for Maumelle students .
